Instagram Stories is a feature that is similar to Snapchat and is only one year old, but it has become incredibly popular. According to Entrepreneur, over 200 million people use Instagram Stories each month, which is over 50 million more than those who use Snapchat. For companies looking to connect with customers on Instagram, mastering Instagram Stories can prove to be valuable.
Social Media Trends #3: More Videos
This social media trend has already started in 2017 and will continue through 2018. The Digital Marketing Institute reported, “Videos have been shown to elicit higher engagement, including more likes, retweets, comments and shares – especially on Facebook.” One way to leverage video in a new and interesting way is through live streaming video. The limited time of viewing a live video creates a sense of urgency. This makes users want to click on a company’s post immediately.
